FAQ & Our Appointment Policy

Licensed naturopathic doctors (N.D.s) complete a comprehensive, 4-year graduate-level education in naturopathic medicine. Like traditional medical doctors (M.D.s), their curriculum covers fundamental sciences including anatomy, physiology, and microbiology. However, their specialization lies in natural, holistic approaches to healing, emphasizing disease prevention and health optimization.

For a detailed overview of their educational standards, please refer to the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Crystal Foresman-Landers received her naturopathic education at the National University of Health Sciences.

While naturopathic doctors are currently pending licensure in the state of Illinois, rest assured that care can still be received from Dr. Crystal Foresman-Landers. She holds an active Occupational Therapy license in Illinois and is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the state of Vermont. Click here to learn more about Dr. Crystal’s credentials.

Your initial office visit is an hour long comprehensive intake that covers your health concerns in detail. Dr. Crystal will begin to create a customized, individualized, and comprehensive plan to address the specific concerns that are impacting your health! This may also include recommendations for additional evaluations or starting treatment therapies if deemed appropriate.

During your return office visit, Dr. Crystal will review your recent evaluations and test results, start or continue additional treatment modalities if appropriate, and make any necessary adjustments to your care plan, to ensure that you’re on the path to achieving optimal health! Comprehensive return office visits are typically 30-45 minutes.

If you are experiencing an acute concern (such as a recent illness or injury), Dr. Crystal may recommend an abbreviated visit specific to that concern. Acute return office visits are typically 20 minutes.

We do not bill insurance directly. In the state of Illinois, insurance plans do not accept Naturopathic Doctors. We accept cash, check, credit and debit cards, as well as HSA cards. You may be able to get some reimbursement from your insurance for the services received at Living Tree Natural Health. We will provide a receipt for you to submit.

A form of payment is required to hold the appointment time, but will not be processed. All payments are due at the time of your visit. This allows us to offer straightforward and transparent pricing, with no surprise bills down the road! We accept cash, check, credit and debit cards. HSA or Health Flex Spending Accounts may also be used for some services.

Late cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to your appointment time will be considered as a “no show.”

No-shows inconvenience individuals who need access to care in a timely manner. We reserve the right to charge for late cancellations and no show appointments.

We understand changing schedules. In order to be respectful of the needs of our Living Tree Natural Health community, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to attend an appointment. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will give another person the possibility to have access to timely care.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require that you call by 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. Please call us at 847-214-0204. If you do not reach our receptionist, please leave a detailed message on the voicemail.
